In anticipation of their friendly against Turkey, Italy have had seven players pull out of the squad.
Lazio defender Luiz Felipe Ramos becomes the latest player to withdraw after it was reported he sustained an injury during training. It was the Brazil-born centre-back’s first call-up to the Italian setup but he will have to wait longer to make his Azzurri debut.
Azzurri coach Roberto Mancini had already sent six players from the squad back to their clubs, including Ciro Immobile, Domenico Berardi, Gianluca Mancini, Lorenzo Insigne, Marco Verratti, and Jorginho.
Mancini’s squad will have another training session tomorrow before travelling to Konya to clash against Turkey on March 29th.
