With the Serie A season winding towards the grand finale, Milan are moving swiftly within the transfer market as they are eager to sign the Italian winger Federico Bernardeschi from Juventus on a free transfer negotiation.

As it stands, the Italian international’s contract with the Bianconeri is set to expire this summer at the end of the current campaign. Due to Berndardeschi’s lack of consistency as he only managed to accumulate one goal and two assists in 20 Serie A appearances, the Old Lady are set to offload the the 28 year-old attacker in order to cut their wage bill and make room for their alternative signings within the front-line such as young-starlets Giacomo Raspadori and Nicolo Zaniolo.

As a result, according to PianetaMilan, Milan are monitoring situation in Turin very closely as they are determined to pounce on the opportunity of luring the experienced winger to the Stadio San Siro on a pre-contract negotiation ahead of next year’s Serie A season.

Bernardeschi is a player that has been under the Rossonerri’s radar since his playing days with Fiorentina. However, the Red side of Milan were unable to secure the talented winger as he opted for a €40M move to the Bianconeri in the summer of 2017.

Within Milan’s squad, Pioli is currently short on wingers as the Italian tactician only posses Rafael Leao, Junior Messias, and Alexis Saelemaekers as reliable options out-wide on the flanks. Within his well-documented 4-2-3-1 system, the Italian attacker would fit seamlessly on the wings and would play a major role in improving Milan’s finishing within the final third throughout the upcoming season.
