Today will be one of the many decisive rounds in the next few months that will determine the fate of this year’s title winner in Serie A.
There is just a seven-point margin separating the league’s top four teams meaning that within a single match day the standings could change completely. AC Milan leads with a three-point advantage over Napoli but Inter and Juventus are trailing by just three and four points respectively.
As per Tuttosport (via MilanNews), ex-Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini spoke about the Scudetto race and gave his thoughts on what could unfold.
“If Inter don’t win, then they will have a hard time recovering. Not just because of a new psychological backlash but also if Milan and Napoli were to win their matches.”
“If they want to remain in the running, then Inter must collect the three points, although they have a game in hand and still have room to come back as they have an easier schedule than Milan,” he added.
Although Inter will only face Roma after this round in comparison to Milan having to play against Lazio and Atalanta, both sides have a very slim margin for error if they want to take the domestic glory of this season.
