Milan and Fiorentina will face off at the San Siro today in a crucial Serie A meeting for both sides.
The Rossoneri will be hoping to continue their Scudetto challenge against La Viola after overtaking their cross-city rivals last weekend with a 2-1 win against Lazio. After an underwhelming 4-0 loss to Udinese last week, Fiorentina will look to get back to winning ways and secure a spot in Europe ahead of next season.
The match is expected to kick off at 14:00 UK time, and there will be a sold-out audience of over 75,000 people at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Fiorentina won the reverse fixture 4-3 and could win both Serie A games against Milan in a single season for the first time since 2000-01.
Stefano Pioli will only be missing three players as Simon Kjaer, Alessandro Florenzi, and Daniel Maldini will be out on the sidelines. The Rossoneri are expected to field the same starting eleven, but it remains to see whether Ismael Bennacer, who returned from an ankle injury, will play from the start.
Vincenzo Italiano’s squad will only have one absence, that being Gaetano Castrovilli, who will be out for the rest of the season. Former Milan player Giacomo Bonaventura will start in the midfield, and another ex-Rossoneri player will be on the bench in Krzysztof Piatek. Both players will look to impress against their former club.
Milan Probable Line-up (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo; Tonali, Kessie (Bennacer); Messias, Diaz, Leao; Giroud.
Fiorentina Probable Line-up (4-3-3): Terracciano; Ordriozola, Milenkovic, Igor, Biraghi; Bonaventura, Torreira, Duncan; Gonzalez, Cabral, Saponara.
