With very little time remaining until the season commences, both Serie A clubs Napoli and Sassuolo are struggling to reach an agreement over the potential departure of the Nerroverdi attacker Giacomo Raspadori.

With the Italian international coming off an impeccable campaign last year as he amassed a total of ten goals and five assists within the Serie A, the 22 year-old is determined to depart as he seeks the opportunity to play Champions League football,

Following the departures of Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne, I Partenopei have identified the attacking-minded Nerroverdi as an ideal replacement. However, it has been very difficult in reaching a principle fee for the rising star.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Sassuolo are unwilling to accept Napoli’s opening bid of €25m pluss add-ons as the Nerroverdi are set on their €40m price tag after selling Gianluca Scamacca to West Ham.

It is uncertain whether both Serie A sides will eventually reach an agreement before the transfer window closes, but it is certain that the negotiations between both parties will be very lengthy.
